Pictures of the Ausrox Nugget in Tucson:

Andy Comas unlocked the Ausrox Nugget each day under the watchful guard of the Tucson Police Dept.

Andy positioned the Ausrox Nugget in its display cabinet each day of the show much to the delight of onlookers marvelling at its size.

Rob Sielecki and Andy Comas are proud to display the Ausrox Nugget in its first public display outside of Australia since its discovery in June 2010.

Tucson police officers, Mikeal Allen & Mark Evanoff assisted in the security of the nugget for the duration of the show.

Even big Chief Stoutmeyer got in on the act of assisting in the security of the nugget.
Andy visited the LA County Museum of Natural History en-route to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show in February 2011.

Andy could not resist saying, “Call that a nugget?” to Curator Dr Anthony (Tony) Kampf of the LA Museum. The museum’s Petersen Nugget, is a tiddler at 109 troy ozs when compared to the Ausrox Nugget at 24.23 kgs. It is California’s second largest gold nugget in known existence.

This mega gold crystal is from Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso in Brazil. Although it is not currently on display, it is a brilliant specimen of a gold crystal.
